Mayor Nan Whaley will be holding 12 listening sessions regarding education and the City of Learners Program.
Immigrant and refugee participation is particularly encouraged.Mayor Whaley is seeking the participation of those with children attending a local preschool, public, parochial, or charter school.
Objective: To listen to the people of the Dayton community to inform the Mayor about what the Mayor, City of Dayton Commission and staff can do to help ensure that the children of Dayton have a new culture – a culture where every child graduates from high school prepared to go to college, join the military or seek advanced training in a marketable job skill
Outcome: Establishing 3-5 initiatives, with benchmarks, that the Mayor and the Dayton community can promote and follow to assist in creating high quality education for the children of Dayton
