Welcome Dayton initiative gets kudos for local leadership

The publication explores what key cities around Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky and other Midwest states have done to push immigration reform forward on the local level.

The report highlights Welcome Dayton, noting: “The City of Dayton endorsed a community-driven immigrant initiative, which grew out of community conversations led by the Human Relations Council in 2011. The planning process recognized ongoing efforts to welcome immigrants and asked government and all public and private sectors to do more.”
