Ayoade wins University of Dayton’s Graduate Award

Gloria Tolu Ayoade has been chosen by the University of Dayton as the 2014 recipient of the prestigious Nora Duffy awards. The Nora Duffy award is named after the University’s respected retired Director of Continuing Education. Ms. Ayoade was nominated for the award by Dr Amy Cirie of the Department of Chemical and Material Engineering.

The Nora Duffy award is presented annually to a re-entry student, who is graduating senior and who has overcome significant obstacles to complete her baccalaureate degree. Ms. Ayoade was chosen for the award for exceptional scholastic achievement.. To be eligible for any of these awards, a student must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.

In a letter signed by Jamie l. Mitchell, the Director for Special Programs and Continuing Education, Ms. Ayoade, was praised for her personal characteristics which reflect the Marianist tradition. She will be given a plague and a cash honorarium for her achievement.
