Nigerian passport processing comes to Columbus

The Passport Processing event which was postponed in July has been rescheduled for Friday October 7th and Saturday October 8th 2016.

All  applicants who have  completed the pre-processing stage will receive a follow up to schedule  preferred Date & Time schedule  In the interim, location and processing time frames will remain the same.

A statement from the organizers urges interested applicants to reach out, including   those who have any emergency travels coming up soon in order to possibly fast track such applications OR direct you appropriately (with proof provided). Please be informed that these are still required on the processing dates:

  • Consulate $100 money order
  • NIDOA Ohio $30 processing fee (minors excluded)
  • Your original passport (valid or expired)
  • A copy of the documents send to us (payment, confirmation and application)

We hope to make it a memorable and organized event and spice it up with some fun as time permits – so WATCH OUT!!

This planned process in Columbus does not happen as often but seen as a rare opportunity in 2016. In order to have a smooth process on those dates, applicants are encouraged  to follow attached guidelines and do the following:

1. Make payment online OR via money order and schedule an appointment slot on NIDO website www.nidoaohio.org  
2. Send a copy of documentation to NiDO P O Box address for initial data capture sent to NY before the processing date(s)
3. Come along to processing event with passport photograph, copies of documents, money orders and your original Nigerian passport (or proof)
4. Get to the location (Ashland University – Columbus) on time during the scheduled time frame

  • Complete the Application process online and make all necessary payments –
  • Go to: https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/epassport to complete application form.
  • Make 3 copies of all your documents and send a copy of the application form, payment confirmation and acknowledgement slips to NIDOA Ohio Chapter: P.O.BOX 248205. Columbus, OH 43224 –
  • Go to https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/passportPaymentStatus to access payment slips.  Reserve a day and time to get your finger print and photo taken.

The organizers  conducted a Q&A session on Saturday July 16 during the General Meeting @ Ashland University. 1900 E Dublin Granville RD. Columbus, OH 43229. Between 2PM – 4PM EST.
