Meanwhile, representatives of cities and organizations from across the Midwest working on immigrant-related economic development initiatives will gather in Dayton OH July 8-10 , 2015.

Save the date!  Dayton has been selected to host the third annual convening of the Welcoming Economies Global Network (formerly Global Great Lakes) on July 8-10, 2015. This conference brings together representatives of cities and organizations from across the Midwest working on immigrant-related economic development initiatives.

Hosted by the City of Dayton Human Relations Council and the WE Global Network, the 2015 Conference will focus on attracting and retaining immigrants to the region to enhance opportunities for overall economic growth and community development. The five areas of focus include:

  • Business and Economic Development
  • Education
  • Government and Justice
  • Health and Social Services
  • Community, Culture and Arts
